DOMESTIC AND EAST AFRICA REGIONAL GORILLA TOURISM PROMOTION
Ugx 150,000/= for a Gorilla permit starting 1st April , May and November 2015 for all East African Community residents.the discount aimed at boosting Domestic and Regional tourism in the EAC was announced today at a press conference held at the media center by the tourism Industry stake holders.this is adding on the already on going campaigns like the single tourist visa for the EAC.The industry is now channeling a lot more efforts to the regional and domestic market after Ebola threats,regional Terror attacks and the Gay bill have led to a lot of cancellation of signed business contracts and bookings,resizing of many companies in the industry causing many youths to lose jobs as they are the biggest number of employees in the tourism Industry.
This campaign has been endorsed by UTB,UWA,UTA,UHOA,AUTO and Uganda lodges.all these organizations have called upon their members to offer discounted rates for all the services they offer and in Uganda shillings for this Easter holidays. UTB has themed Tourism, "Every body's business" as all your efforts are needed to promote Uganda,the pearl of Africa to the world.
